Visualization Overview
Data Visualization is defined as the second step of a rapid process troubleshooting project. During this stage of the rapid process troubleshooting project, users can:
-
Visualize data using:
The Visualization View
Access the Visualization view by clicking on Step 2: Visualization from the Troubleshooter project bar. If the button is disabled, first complete Step 1: Data Preparation
The Visualization view list provides the following information and options:
-
Field
This is the field name as configured during the data import stage. -
Category
Fields are classified into different categories, such as a target field, a process state, a disturbance, or an adjustable field type.
-
Histogram icon
Click the histogram icon provided on the list view to view a Histogram for the selected field. -
Trend icon
Click the trend icon provided on the list view to view a time-series trend for the selected field. -
Limits
Select Enable or Disable to enable or disable the limits set for each field. Setting this option to Enabled will set the qualities of all tag values that exceed either the HighHigh or the LowLow limits to bad. All bad quality data points will not be used during model construction and only good quality data, in other words, data that falls within the HighHigh and LowLow limits, will be used for modeling purposes. -
Low Low
The LowLow limit is the absolute (engineering) minimum value that a model variable may have. A typical use of the LowLow limit is to set the data quality of all values that are less than the LowLow limit to "bad quality". All "bad quality" data will not be used in model construction. -
Low
The Low limit is a secondary limit that indicates the "operational" lower limit of a variable. -
High High
The HighHigh limit is the absolute (engineering) maximum value that a model variable may have. A typical use of the HighHigh limit is to set the data quality of all values that are less than the HighHigh limit to "bad quality". All "bad quality" data will not be used in model construction. -
High
The High limit is a secondary limit that indicates the "operational" higher limit of a variable. -
Lag (seconds)
The Time Lag value sets a fixed delay to each field. The delay is controlled by the value of the field entered into the Lag column in the "Data Cleaning View". The value is interpreted as a number of seconds to delay the output. -
Lag icon
Click the Lag icon to display the Lag estimation dialog for automatic lag estimation for the selected field. Click here to find out more about lag estimation.

Remove models: This will remove all nonlinear and rule-based process models already created from the data.
